Watch the Road Zipper move concrete barriers as if they were weightless

The mechanical marvel you see above is called the Road Zipper. Lindsay Infrastructure developed the incredible construction vehicle in 1984 as a faster way to set up and modify roadblocks. This transport system lifts heavy “T-top” barriers instead of dragging and gently moving them into place. The barriers are then fastened together to create a wall. Road Zipper has a maximum operating speed of 10 mph and is designed to operate on active roads so roadworks can be completed without major closures or traffic delays.
