Black Widow and hawk eye star Florence Pugh is in talks to join Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: part Two†
The first Dune movie featured a large cast of characters with many notable stars. However, anyone who has read the book can tell you that many characters have been omitted. This included characters like Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, Emperor Shaddam IV, and his daughter Princess Irulan. However, this will change in part two.
The upcoming movie is currently still casting the roles of the Emperor and Feyd-Rautha, but may have already found its princess. According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, Black Widow star Florence Pugh is in talks for the role. Over the past five years, the actress has steadily made a name for herself with roles in such films as Midsommar† The Outlaw Kingand petite women† Last year she co-starred with Scarlett Johansson in Black Widow and appears to be a key member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now it seems that the actress de Dune franchise in mind.
In the novels, Princess Irulan is the daughter of Emperor Shaddam IV and plays a pivotal role in the events of the first novel, its sequel Dune Messiahand Children of Dune† The role was previously played by Virginia Madsen in the 1984 David Lynch film and by Julie Cox in the two Sci-Fi Channel Dune miniseries. It is unknown at this time how big the role she will be in the upcoming film.

Denis Villeneuve directed Dune from a script he co-wrote with Eric Roth and Jon Spaihts. The film stars Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgard, Charlotte Rampling, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem and David Dastmalchian.
