Bruce Campbell seemingly confirmed his cameo appearance in Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness.
Fans eagerly await director Sam Raimi’s return to the comic book film genre with Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness. The filmmaker returns 15 years after the release of his much-maligned Spider Man 3, and with his involvement, many expect his frequent collaborator and friend Bruce Campbell to have a cameo.
Bruce Campbell’s possible involvement in the sequel remained a mystery for quite some time, but a fan of the r/raimimemes subreddit got the chance to have a Q&A with him. The actor was inevitably asked about: Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness, to which he had this to say:
“The Doctor Strange deal is interesting. Most of the film has been extensively re-shot so I have no idea what’s in it and what isn’t. I did a cool scene with a character that’s been loved for years, and… we’ll have to see what ends up in the movie. I don’t know if it’s still there. It’s a pretty cool part.”
The prospect of seeing Bruce Campbell play a much-loved Marvel Comics character would be interesting to watch. Given his role in Sam Raimi’s Spider Man trilogy, he portrayed three different characters in each. He portrayed the wrestling announcer in the first film, a theater usher in the second, and a waiter at a French restaurant in the third. It would be nice to see Bruce Campbell play an iconic Marvel Comics character in this sequel, and knowing his connection to Sam Raimi, it’s safe to say the role would be a memorable one.
