‘Euphoria’ Star Sydney Sweeney Joins Sony’s ‘Madame Web’ Movie

Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney has joined Dakota Johnson in Sony’s planned Madame Web movie.

Sony is rapidly building its Spider Man universe after the success of No way home and their two venom movies. Then the studio brings morbius to the big screen, while other notable Spider-Man characters get spin-offs. A movie that follows Madame Web is one of those projects being worked on Fifty Shades of grey star Dakota Johnson is going to shine. Deadline now reports that Sydney Sweeney will also join the film’s cast.

Sydney Sweeney is best known for her roles in the hit HBO series Euphoria and The Handmaid’s Tale† There are currently no details on who Sweeney will play in Madame Web† SJ Clarkson directs Madame Web Sony film starring Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless and Kerm Sanga behind the script.

Here’s the synopsis for Sony’s next Marvel movie, morbius

One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen when Oscar® winner Jared Leto morphs into the enigmatic anti-hero Michael Morbius. dr. Morbius is dangerously ill with a rare blood disease and determined to save others who suffer the same fate. He takes a desperate gamble. What seems at first sight to be a radical success, a darkness awakens within him and turns this healer into a fighter.

Directed by Daniel Espinosa from a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, the film stars Jared Leto as the lead antihero, Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Jared Harris and Tyrese Gibson. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are co-producing the project with Lucas Foster, while Palak Patel oversees Sony.
