‘Euphoria’ star Sydney Sweeney talks about ‘Madame Web’ role

Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney has opened up about her upcoming role in Mrs Web.

Sony’s Spider-Man Universe is officially in full swing. With three films in the pipeline, at least two are currently in the casting process and in pre-production. One movie focuses on Kraven the Hunter, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and the other is Mrs Web, with Dakota Johnson in the titular role and Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney in an unknown role.

Just like them Euphoria co-star Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney dives into Spider-Man’s lore with Mrs Web. In a recent interview with Variety, she talked about her involvement in the film and revealed what she has been up to for the upcoming film:

“I’ve ordered a lot of comic books. There is much to learn. I’ve always been a big fan of all the Marvel and Sony Universe movies. I grew up watching them all and I’ve been swallowed up by the whole world my whole life, so to be a part of that is so incredible, incredible.”

Sydney Sweeney also revealed why she was attracted to Mrs Web, which will surely be a change of pace from her work in Euphoria:

“I like to find characters that challenge me in different ways, and are completely different from each other. I want to continue to shock people with the characters I play, when they don’t expect me to choose that next.”

Considering that Euphoria is one of the biggest TV series in the world right now, it’s no surprise that many of the cast are in high demand right now, especially Sydney Sweeney. Although we have no idea which character she will play in Madame Webshe will certainly be an interesting addition to Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.
