First set of photos from Netflix’s ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ surface

The first set photos of Netflix’s coming Avatar: The Last Airbender series have found their way online.

Filming on Netflix Avatar: The Last Airbender series started in November. So far, nothing more has been revealed than behind-the-scenes photos.

Thanks to Dripmaster926 on Reddit via Avatar NewsA first look at the Netflix series reveals a Fire Nation set and a green screen. Avatar News also speculated that the set could be for the Netflix show’s version of the animated series’ Blue Spirit series. You can see the first airbender set pictures below.

Netflix’s first season of The Last Airbender will feature eight episodes lasting approximately one hour. Avatar News also recently reported that each episode will cost $15 million for a total budget of $120 million.

The latest live-action edit from airbender is being developed by Albert Kim after the departure of the show’s original creators. The Netflix series stars Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio Tarbell as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Zuko, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Iroh, Elizabeth Yu as Azula, and Daniel Dae Kim as Firelord Ozai.

With the Fire Nation on the brink of global domination, a young girl and her brother discover a 12-year-old Airbender who reveals herself as the Avatar. Will this irresponsible boy accept his fate in time to save the world?

Created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the animated series featured the voice talents of Zach Tyler Eisen, Mae Whitman, Jack DeSena, Dante Basco, Jessie Flower, Dee Bradley Baker, Mako, Greg Baldwin, Gray DeLisle, and Mark Hamill.
