Morbius Director Explains Cut Reference To Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man

morbius director Daniel Espinosa talked about the shooting of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man from the film’s first trailer.

morbius starring Jared Leto is finally in theaters after several delays, and audiences are starting to notice several moments of the trailers that aren’t in the final product. One is a photo of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man in the background on a wall art with the words “killer” sprayed over it.

morbius director Daniel Espinosa recently revealed that a Spider-Man exists in the Living Vampire universe. However, the director admitted that CinemaBlend that he was not responsible for putting Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man in the background of the shot in the trailer:

That image is only in the trailer. So for me, as a director, I just do the film. I, as a fan, have different opinions and thoughts on that. But since I didn’t put it there, because it’s not in the movie, nor did I put it in the trailer. (So) if I were to say anything about what I think it is, it would be as a fan. But since I’m the director, I’d be accused of knowing something. What I don’t know, you know? If I knew something, I could tell you. (But) it’s not mine. It’s not my idea, you know? I’d like to be honest and responsible, but I can’t because it’s not mine.”
