Rumor has it that a new Jedi character is coming soon Obi-Wan Kenobi series starring Ewan McGregor.

Obi-Wan Kenobi‘s marketing is kicking into hyperspace with the recent release of the first trailer and details. New details elsewhere are also starting to bring the pieces together. The latest comes from Bespin Bulletin reveals that Ewan McGregor’s Kenobi won’t be the only Jedi to appear in the series.

In the first Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer, one actor that was missing was Benny Safdie, or so we thought. Bespin Bulletin reveals that Safdie plays a Jedi in the series. It also sounds like it’s Safdie’s character that Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan speaks to at the beginning of the trailer.

Making Star Wars also revealed that Safdie’s character, Nari, has been searching for Kenobi since the fall of the Jedi. The quest takes the character to Tatooine, where he faces off against Reva and the Inquisitors, who we see in the trailer.

During the reign of the Galactic Empire, former Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi embarks on a crucial mission. Kenobi must confront allies who have become enemies and face the wrath of the Empire.

Directed by Deborah Chow from the scripts by Joby Harold, starring Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie. The series will also see the return of legendary Star Wars composer John Williams, who scored a theme.
