The Flexispot OC14 is an ergonomic office chair offered at a mid-range price, with a high overall “value for money”. The breathable materials, adjustable tension settings, and overall comfortable seating experience make it worth considering for your setup, no matter your budget.
The whole of the Flexispot OC14 Ergonomic Chair came in one box. Admittedly it was a big box, which we probably could have climbed into after the seat was removed, but still light enough to carry.
Upon opening the box, we were greeted by a plethora of parts and a set of instructions that were very clear and easy to follow, with the step-by-step process helping us complete the build in a matter of minutes. We were admittedly shocked, as at first glance there seemed to be more pieces than usual – but we soon realized that was because Flexispot chose to send some levers and the neckrest completely disassembled, rather than on the main body of the seat for transportation.
All in all, including opening the box and even throwing back all the packing materials, we were able to complete this process in just under 10 minutes.
Once the assembly is done, you’ll be left with a pretty nice chair. We’re fans of matte black in our test office, so we wanted the legs/base to be black, but the silver finish wasn’t bad at all.
During the first hour of sitting and adjusting the seat, the back felt way too loose and to be quite honest we weren’t fans. It took me quite a bit of tension adjustment out of the box to dial in where it’s now not core workout just sitting. Once we tightened up the recline tension, adjusted the seat where we wanted it, and made our “final” adjustments to the neck rest and armrests, we were genuinely pleased with the result.

Design and build quality
The overall design is made up of a simple frame and chassis, but still looks professional and refined. While simple designs can sometimes look cheap, in this case the chair looks elegant and more expensive than it actually is. The quality of this chair feels like it can withstand heavy use and last a while, especially when used in a home office.
After a number of eight-hour workday sessions in this chair, and also rotating between this and ours standing desksthe Flexisport OC14 performed as we wanted.
It was comfortable without putting us to sleep, and gave us good support, although unfortunately there are no adjustable lumbar supports, so when we took a break from standing and chose to sit down, it provided comfortable relief. When we chose to sit all day, it didn’t feel uncomfortable nor behave unevenly in an area, thanks in part to adjusting the recline tension and deliberately using the recline lock.
The ability to lock this seat in a reclined position is a nice touch and one that we found most useful when locking in a reclined position to play a game or watch some YouTube reviews.
The wheels roll nicely and turn a full 360 degrees allowing maximum maneuverability even over some carpets and the frame feels solid as even after almost a month of daily use there is no creaking, no squeaking and no wear with it. all.
The backrest even fits those who are a bit taller. Our tallest member outside this office is 1.85m, and they were able to sit in this chair, adjust the height of the seat and raise the neck rest a bit. All in all, this process takes less than a minute, and then they get to work. Our shortest member outside of this office is about 5’10” or 5’11” and they can do the same, making little to no adjustments between all heights, but still able to fine-tune when desired.
For the modest price tag, this chair scores above its class. The features of this chair are just enough to suit any user while keeping the price low.
We increasingly opted for this chair for long days or short sessions. While there are definitely more expensive and better chairs on the market, we are very happy with the Flexispot OC14 Ergonomic Chair Pro as a whole.
