Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase: Starfield, Persona 5 Royal and Redfall

Starfield gets a demonstration of how character creation works, not just aesthetically, but how the various perks and stat boosts can affect your gameplay. Outposts will also be available, which will allow the player to completely create his own small colony on a planet. You can even build your own spaceships, select crew members and customize the look and layout. And of course, the player can control his ships and he will have to fight space battles.

Todd Howard closes the conference with a brief demonstration of exactly how space travel works and how each planet in more than 100 solar systems has fully explorable planets. Starfield is coming in 2023.

The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase concluded with gameplay footage of the first look at Starfield. Notoriously Bethesda’s first major RPG that isn’t Skyrim or Fallout, we finally got to see some footage.

Todd Howard introduced the mysterious moon Kreet, which takes place early in the game. We now know that the game is set in the year 2330. We saw a strange insect-like alien life form running past the player, alternating between first and third person as they explore this place and shoot some space rocks in search of minerals.

Shortly after, the player runs around a facility overrun by pirates and uses strange space weapons to defeat them. We also have some images of some NPCs that the player can interact with, the factions that will be available, many of the environments that we can expect (especially the cities).

Kojima is now in the shop window! He’s talking about his new game, although it seems too far off to talk about it right now.

Persona 3, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal are coming to Xbox Game Pass. Persona 5 Royal is coming to Xbox consoles and PC on October 21.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is coming early 2023 and launches on Game Pass day one. It’s from Team Ninja, the creators of Nioh and Ninja Gaiden.

Cocoon from the developers of Inside and Limbo. It is an ominous game in which the player takes control of a strange insect with wings in a desolate world. We saw many puzzles in which the player jumps around with a ball. It’s coming 2023.

A third-person pixel art game in which the player uses special skills to traverse a fantasy world. There are action battles, scary bosses, powerful spells, cute little critters in Ravenlok, in 2023.

Sea of ​​Thieves got an adorable trailer that shows off many of the new updates it’s received over the years. Season 7 of Sea of ​​Thieves is coming!

Diablo IV was shown at the showcase. We see a cinematic trailer of the Necromancer, which detonates a werewolf-like creature before resurrecting a zombie and taking its skull to wear on her lower back. It will be the fifth and final class of the game.

Shortly after, in-game Diablo IV footage showed us a look at the powerful-looking gameplay and how the open world will forge our journey. We can expect 150 dungeons and that there is no linear path to follow. The game features world bosses and allows a lot of players to fight at once. We can also expect a shared world, similar to something like Destiny. Full crossplay and couch co-op will also be available. There are also designated PvP zones.

We can also expect an endgame that will allow the player to play new dungeons and which will be supported in the coming years.

Diablo IV will be released in 2023.

A third-person stealth action game where the player fights against a plague of deadly robots. It’s called Ereban Shadow Legacy and it’s out 2023.

Grounded, another Obsidian game, got another trailer. It has been in early access for a long time and will finally launch in September 2022.

About a farmer who has to make decisions and deal with a terrifying city that seems to be crazy. It’s called Pentiment by Obsidian Entertainment and it’s coming in November 2022.

Naraka Bladepoint is coming to consoles for the first time. It is a third-person action battle royale with hack-n-slash combat with giant weapons and crazy combos. There will also be a new campaign mode, which will allow the player to take on bosses. It comes bundled with Game Pass and arrives on June 23.

As Dusk Falls is an emotional journey in graphic style with a story-driven narrative across different characters. We see a lot of protagonists who seem to be connected by a weird eatery. It’s coming on July 19th.

The Last Case of Benedict Fox is a noir game in which the player explores a mysterious mansion. It’s side-scrolling and has the protagonist run away from dark monstrosities while also being led by some sort of shadow demon.

Gunfire Reborn is a 4 player co-op first-person shooter with roguelite mechanics, massive bosses and very cute visuals. Play and fight anthropomorphic animals in October 2022.

Lightyear: Frontier is a science fiction game in which the player is shot from his ship and lands on an alien planet. Players collect resources, build, plant crops, and interact with alien life while inside a giant mech. There seems to be four player co-op and it looks pretty nice!

Minecraft Legends, an action strategy game, is shown. We start with villagers reading storybooks about a deadly upcoming zombie pigmen invading the world. We seem to be riding some horse as the overworld fights the Nether.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, a third-person action game with calculated dodge rolls and combo maneuvers balancing a gun and axe, was showcased at the conference. We see beautiful, expansive landscapes in a mix between the 19th century era and futuristic alien technology. There are swamps, savannas, double jumps and giant spiders. What else do you want? Coming in early 2023, you’ll also have a cute fox companion.

Scorn has finally revealed himself again. This HR Giger-inspired meaty nightmare looks like a great venture into the horrific potential of body horror in video games. We saw tentacled monsters, sprawling cathedrals with amazing architecture and terrible monstrosities. It’s coming October 21.

VIN DIESEL IS HERE! We saw another cinematic trailer for Ark, although we didn’t get much beyond the 2023 release date and Vin Diesel’s growl. We know it will launch on Unreal Engine 5.

Forza Horizon 5 has received its Hot Wheels DLC trailer, showing off the new cars and areas to expect. We see a beautiful volcano, snow capped mountains and waterfalls dotted with a beautiful setting with traditional Hot Wheels tracks scattered between areas. It looks wild! It’s coming on July 19th.

Fallout 76 is receiving another new update called The Pitt and it will be out in September.

The Elder Scrolls: High Isle was shown. It’s been out on PC for a week, but is coming to Xbox on June 21, so it’s not big news or anything.

A new strategy game was unveiled called Ara History Untold.

Overwatch 2 was shown during the event and featured each of the characters with snippets of inter-themed dialogue. Some new characters have been revealed and we now know that early access to the game will start in October. It will also be free to play. The new character seems to come straight out of Mad Max, with a tough mohawk.

Microsoft Flight Simulator receives an update with gliders, helicopters and new planes. This is for its 40th anniversary and will be launched in November 2022. Flight Sim will also receive a Halo themed update with the Pelican coming to the game.

Forza Motorsport received more gameplay footage during the event. We saw dynamic day/night cycles and weather conditions, along with fatal crashes during races. It will be spring 2023.

We get an in-game demonstration of Maple Valley with the Mission-8, showing off the incredible graphics fidelity we’ve come to expect from Forza Motorsport. Tire and fuel management and in-depth car building are also coming to the series.

Xbox has revealed in-game footage of Plague Tale: Requiem. We see our two protagonists running through desolate environments and sneaking their way through a dangerous world. We also see combat, with stealth attacks, pushing people into a pile of bully rats and shooting people with crossbows.

Xbox Game Pass members unlock every Agent in Valorant and every Champion in League of Legends for free. All Foundation Sets for Legends of Runeterra are also unlocked for free. And for Teamfight Tactics, players will receive selected minor legends for free.

High On Life, a new game from the creator of Rick and Morty, was shown. You run through alien cities and bizarrely vibrant environments using live weapons with faces to fend off curious life forms that try to destroy you. It will be launched in October 2022

Hollow Knight: Silksong was shown. A game that people have been waiting for years to finally see in action again has revealed itself again, but unfortunately we haven’t been given a release date.

Xbox kicked off the showcase with a first look at Redfall gameplay. Atmospheric horror, bloody floors, flies buzzing around piles of some sort of gunk were the introduction to this demo. We saw one of the main characters fending off a series of tall vampire creatures with some sort of rifle in the attic of a church.

Then we were treated to an explanation of what happens in the story and how these vampires more or less caused an apocalypse of sorts. The protagonists look for answers about how things can be improved in this city.

We also got a first look at a part of the city where the character has invaded, resembling a seaside carnival. We see the protagonists using a lot of their powers to fend off the zombies, including giant electricity sticks that someone has stuck in the ground and spectral purple lances that can be fired at enemies. We also got short snippets of what the skill trees would like.
